And by looked up to relevant information, consulting graduate students in therelated areas to eliminate some items and improve the scale. And made the"Adaptability scale for the disabled", and then use the statistical analysis to analyzethe scale. But, in the current research on adaptation, there are did not have specificallystudy the adaptability of people with disabilities. We can not know exactlymaladaptive disabilities in their daily lives which specific aspects, which is a greatobstacle to our further work about disabled people. Therefore, in order to clarify thecharacteristics of adaptability with disabled people, to imoroce people withdisabilities’ability to adapt to the society, it has very practical significance to make ascale for the disabled people’adaptability.Through research, the results showed that:(1) Disabled people’s adaptability can be divided into five dimensions: they aredisabled people’ s self-adaptability, interpersonal adaptability, professionaladaptability, adaptation to the environment and life adaptation After testing, thedisabled Adaptability Inventory subscales’alpha factor range is0.745-0.92, the alpha factor of the full scale is0.974. The scale has high reliability. Construct validityof the proportion of variance extracted cumulative five-factors explanation is:71.06%;(2)The disabled people’s adaptability overall situation was in general level, atthe same time there were differences among gender, Handicapped time, workinghours, and education level. The adaptability of men is better than women; Therelationship between Handicapped time, working hours and the adaptability ofdisabled people is in an inverted U-shaped growth, as time increases, the strongeradaptability disabled people have, and it will come to the peak about10-15years andthen subsequently decline; the higher education level people have, the higher theindividual’s adaptability.
