Study On The Ideological Situation Of The Police And The Scientific Research Of Police’s Ideological And Political Work In The New Period

Public security organ is one of the administrative organs and executive authorities inChina. Its major political and social responsibilities are to protect people’s safety of lives andproperty, manage the social security according to the law, safeguard the country’s politicalstability and guarantee the smooth progress of socialist economic construction. Since the1970s, the development of politics, economics and culture becomes rapid along with thedeepening of reform and opening up. And the process of globalization accelerates. Thisrepresents a challenge for the police work in the new period. Therefore, in this context, thestrengthening of the investigation of police’s ideological situation and the scientific researchof police’s ideological and political work is a major strategic task to safeguard the country’spolitical, economical and social development for the public security organ.This paper aims to comb and summarize the researches of team building and ideologicaland political work in public security organ since the reform and opening up under theguidance of Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism. It makes use of the method ofinterviews to carry out researches into the ideological situation in public security organ,interpret the new problems existed in ideological and political work in order to study how tostrengthen and promote the scientific research of the police’s ideological and political work.This paper is comprised of the following sections:Introduction: This section is comprised of the proposal, meaning, summary and researchmethod of this paper.Chapter1, the theoretical basis of the scientific research of police’s ideological andpolitical work: this chapter describes the meaning and characteristics of scientific research ofthe ideological and political work as well as the basic theory of scientific research of thepolice’s ideological and political work;Chapter2, the investigation of the police’s ideological and political situation in the newperiod: this chapter identifies the main problems of ideological and political work andanalyzes the causes of the problems by carrying out investigations of the police;Chapter3, strengthen the scientific research of the police’s ideological and political workand the police’s contingent: this chapter puts forward three points on this work which startsform the necessity and basic requirements of the scientific research of the police’s ideologicaland political work.
