| The aim of this paper is to revalue the relationship between On Contradiction and Chinese traditional philosophy in the perspective of the way of thinking. Based on the combination of macro and micro research, the author expounds the inheritance and innovation of Cosmology, epistemology and methodology in Chinese traditional philosophy by the line of the thought of correlations and continuity through change.There are two sections of the paper. The introduction generally discusses three basic problems in On Contradiction and sketches the relationship between the thought of correlations and continuity through change and the thought of Mao Zedong. The main part of this thesis contains four chapters:the first chapter mainly discusses the inheritance and innovation in Chinese traditional philosophy resulted from On Contradiction. The second chapter deeply analyzes the relationship of On contradiction and the epistemology in Chinese traditional philosophy. The third chapter focuses on the inheritance and innovation in Chinese traditional methodology generated by On Contradiction. The fourth chapter reveals introspection and prediction after revaluing.The research adopts methods as follow:(1) Analysis and synthesis contains the way of understanding, analysis, synthesis, as well as revaluing, by which the relationship of On Contradiction and Chinese traditional philosophy can be explored. (2) The combination of dynamic research with static research. In the dynamic research, both dialectical thinking and analytical thinking reflected in On Contradiction have the feature of correlations and continuity through change. The static research method. In the static research, specially discuss the permanent theory in On Contradiction which doesn’t transform over time.(3) empirical approach is not based on existing conclusions, but on a lot of academic historical materials to study the problem of inheritance and innovation.The thesis mainly examines the inheritance and innovation in Chinese traditional philosophy resulted from On Contradiction——In the perspective of the thought of correlations and continuity through change. In terms of the way of thinking, this is a research of foundational theory which the academics deal with "National Form" and "Theoretical Connotation". However, these works have little expression on the level of philosophy but just do some brief combing and dissertation. the thought of correlations and continuity through change is the customary thought of Mao. The project to revalue the issue of the inheritance and innovation in Chinese traditional philosophy resulted from On Contradiction is rarely involved.The theoretical significance is to explore contradiction spirit in a philosophical level which is deeper than "National Form" and "Theoretical Connotation" by the way of the revaluation of the inheritance and innovation in Chinese traditional philosophy resulted from On Contradiction. Such project achieves the organic fusion of Marxist philosophy and Chinese traditional philosophy that provides the classic paradigm for contemporary Chinese Marxist studies. The practical significance is to support the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the great cause of reform, to build socialist core values, as well as to overcome the dogmatism tendency in the practical work through providing effective methodology. |
