Well-known as Marx and Weber as Sociology masters, Durkheim has shown immediateperception and deep concern to chaotic social order in Western Europe, which promotes him to takethe resolve of social anomie and integration of social order as the core of his own studies onsociology of law. Generation of the organic unity of the whole community, essentially requires allmembers of society to comply with the collective moral consciousness based on moral sentimentsand common faith. In order to provide an organization and moral environment for professionalethics and moral norms, Durkheim turns his eyes to the professional groups already existed inancient history.Professional groups plays a role as material carriers capable of carrying professional ethics andmoral norms built by Durkheim, whose aim is to make Professional groups give stability to themodern social order, and thus to bring in the social environment to govern chaotic and social orderto integrate anomie. To achieve this integrating function, it’s necessary to bring professional groupsinto real life, and thus balancing the tension between the individual and society by encouragingprofessional groups’ role as bridge and link. Meanwhile, the integration process is achieved bydouble constructing the relationship between the individual and society through professional groups,during which moral authority and legal significance of professional groups have also been revealed.Professional groups does play a significant role for the social chaos in the West at that time,but it also faces many difficulties and challenges because of its limitation. At the same time, the“new Durkheim” representing by two scholars in the United States has further developed thethought of Durkheim. And relating to our reality in China, the social integration role of professionalgroups also has great value and significance for the integration of China ’s current urbanCommunity. However, when social development came to later stages of his life, Durkheim hoped tosolve the difficulties faced through construction of moral individualism. Since moral individualismdivorced from social realities faced many difficulties and challenges in the development process,Durkheim failed to provide a satisfactory solution to questions he raised. But his limited explorationand trying, after all, has reflected the great ideals of his deep concern about the social reality, Andwe believe that for Durkheim, it makes more sense to raise the issues than to give the answers.Because he provides us with a problem-solving possibilities not with the answers to them.This paper can be divided into five parts. The introduction part gives a brief introduction to the thesis origins of problem consciousnessThen analyzes the present study of professional groups thought of Durkheim at home and abroad.At the same time, it simply tells readers how thesis is written.Part two provides detailed description of how professional groups appeared in the LegalSociological Perspective of Durkheim. Then it defines the concept of professional groups, describesthe history of the development of the professional groups, and based on which illustrates thenecessity and possibility of the existence of professional groups in modern social reconstruction.Part three first reveals paradox of modern society through the debate between the individualand society, and illustrates the anomie of modern society and its root causes, and then brings in asimple introduction to the features and functions of professional groups at the same time. Next, onthis basis,it introduces a fact that Durkheim coordinates the tense relationship between theindividual and society by constructing external organizations and internal morality. At last, themoral authority and legal significance of professional groups is explained.Part four analyzes difficulties and challenges in the reality of social life faced by professionalgroups, simply elaborates the "new Durkheim “, and describes the great value and significance ofDurkheim’s thoughts for the integration of China ’s current urban Community. Finally, it focuses onthe discussion of Durkheim moral individualism.Part five is the conclusion. After illustrating the logical structure of the article, it gives aretrospective description and explanation of the research value and practical significance of theprofessional groups.
