The Research Of Dilemma On Contemporary China’s Democratic Politics Construction

In the background of value diversification on current market economy，contemporary China is promoting the comprehensive and multidimensionalconstruction of civilization. The political、economic and social development must becoordinated. The development of political civilization is one of the important areaswhich inevitably lead to democracy，and it is the trend of historical development. As amodern political civilization，democracy not only represents the value of politicsitself，but also become an important part of structural advancing the contemporarychina’s socialist construction. When the reform enters a crucial stage，traditionalpolitical forms and means will inevitably hinder the construction of modern politicalcivilization. In that case，China’s democracy development will fall into a dilemma；also will restrict people’s democratic demand and development of market economy.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the definition of democracy—the construction of contemporary Chinese democratic politics is based on Marx’stheory of democracy，and brief summary of the process on the development ofChinese democratic politics construction. The second part analyses the dilemmawhich appears in the process on the construction of democratic politics from threeaspects：One is the deep social soil of worship of power，the other is the enormouschallenge to the Communist Party’s power and ways，another is the inadequacy ofsubjectivity in political participation. The third part is researches the fundamentalreason for the contradiction between productive forces and production relations，andthe relationship between economic basis and political superstructure；in addition，thetraditional political and cultural limitations are also the main reasons for theemergence of the difficulties. The fourth part is about seeking the transcend path onthe predicament in the process of Chinese modern democratic political construction，from the improvement of the socialist economic and political system reform，developing inner-party democracy promoting people’s democracy，adhering to the rule of law， perfecting supervision mechanism， giving full play to people’ssubjectivity in political participation.The innovation of this paper includes discussing the dilemma of China’sdemocratic development，and seeks solutions to the dilemma，in the perspective ofMarxism philosophy，from the view of Historical Materialism，starting from analysisthe nature of the dilemma. This paper aims at further affirming the importance ofstrengthening the construction of China’s democratic politics，providing some advicesfor building of harmonious society in political civilization，by studying the dilemmaof China’s democratic development according to theory of historical materialism.
