Countermeasures Of Preventing And Controlling Cult For Chinese Government

Since the enlightenment in18century, people started to advocate science and reason, andatheism had gradually become a trend of thought in philosophy. Especially in20centurywhen science has been rapidly developed and productivity has been significantly improved,there are sufficient reasons to prove that there is no possibility for cult to arise. However,people are surprised that cult is blooming worldwide in the golden age of human development.According to incomplete statistics from UN, there are more than10,000cults worldwide, andabout1,000,000,000of followers in these cults. America is known as the kingdom of heresydue to owning more than1,000cults, and most of tragedies which did by cults happened inU.S.A. In European countries, there are more than1,300cults which include604heresies inUK,173cults in France and200damaging cults which own more than10,000followers inSpanish. Thus, it can be seen that preventing the rise of cult has become a serious challenge ofsocial problem to governments in all over the worldCult is known as the evil organisation which is rejected by the authoritarian governments,legal religious group and most of people. In different stages of history and cultures, thedefinition of cult may be various. Cult is a kind of social phenomenon and multiplies with thedevelopment of social. China has profound traditional which contents essence as well as drossin its culture. Cult in China is also the poison which inherits from feudal times. Since theestablishment of P.R.C, more than10cults have been found, which include “Falun Gong”,“Almighty God”,“Huhan Pie” and “LingLing Jiao” etc. All of these cults performed as areligious, but they really did harmful to the society, which include deceive people, destructionof family, defraudation. Even more, these cults are involved by nation and foreign Anti-Chinaforces to fan the flame of sedition, disturb the social order and even subversion of state power.In this study, the research is focused on the case studies of “Falun Gong” and “AlmightyGod”. A comprehensive analysis of problems and reasons in preventing cult for thegovernment’s public management department was carried out, and the strategies aboutimproving ability of government to prevent cult were addressed.
