Hu Jintao Ecological Civilization Construction Thought Research

The Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward thetask of constructing the ecological civilization. This is another goal of our country, followsthe “Three Civilizations” includes material civilization, spiritual civilization and politicalcivilization.Humanity has experienced three development stages, the primitive civilization,agricultural civilization and industrial civilization. While the countries in the worldenjoying the material life which is brought by economic prosperity, they have to face theconfusion brought by the industrial civilization, such as: the air pollution, haze frequency,species extinction and the birth of all new diseases. In addition to that predatoryexploitation regardless of objective conditions, the human society has closing to adestruction disaster. The destruction of the natural ecological environment has given analarm to the society that if it can have a sustainable development. Faced with the grimsituation, President Hu Jintao put forward the idea of construction the ecologicalcivilization, which is the practical needs of the social development in China, and also theobjective requirement of the development of human civilization.Hu Jintao’s thought of constructing the ecological civilization inherited the naturalecological view and Marx’s ecological view of Chinese traditional culture, it is put forwardon the basis of summing up the practice of China’s reform and opening up and socialistmodernization construction. It has an important significance in building a socialistharmonious society and constructing ecological civilization.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The first part introduces the purpose and studying significance of the selected topic;the research status in domestic and foreign and the ideas, contents and methods of theresearch.The second part discusses the background, the realistic and theoretical foundation of the formation of Hu Jintao’s ideological construction of ecological civilization.The third part discusses the main content of the ideas of constructing ecologicalcivilization. There are four main aspects: first, the concept of the thought of constructingecological civilization; second the ways of ecological civilization construction; third thegoal of ecological civilization construction ideas; fourth is the security of ecologicalcivilization construction ideas.The fourth part discusses the contemporary value of Hu Jintao’s thought of ecologicalcivilization construction.
