With the increasing vehicles, traffic accidents show frequenttrend, which caused the traffic accident growing with each passing day. People are frompure"having an ordinary car" to "having more and more high-grade car". Because of thetraffic accidents, especially the serious traffic accidents, the the Compensation for VehicleDepreciation Costs by the traffic accident drew more and more people’s attention,when thenumber of cars is increasing sharply, the vehicles haveing more and more valuable.At present, there are no clear specific provisions for the traffic accident vehicledepreciation costs in China. I analyse three aspects from the concept of depreciation of vehicle,the legal nature to the legal basis. After expounding and proving systematically, I obtained aconclusion: in the traffic accident, infringed the owners of vehicles should receive areasonable compensation for traffic accident vehicle depreciation costs.The article expoundsthe identification subject of the real depreciation of the vehicle and assessment methods of thevehicle depreciation loss in practice at the same time to ensure that the depreciation of vehicleloss assessment was both lawful and reasonable.In the concluding section of this article, Ihope that the insurance companies in the motor vehicle insurance products show personalizedand differentiated,refining the motor vehicle insurance products so that the majority ofconsumers have a wider choice of space.
