Li(礼)and Yue(乐) exert a profound influence in the history of Chinese aneient soeiety, life and eulture. Confucian hold that Li( 礼) can distinguish the strict hierarchy of order, and Yue(乐) is important to the nobility’s ability of sageliness within and kingliness without, and Yue can transform social traditions.
