Amis is one of the ethnic groups in the aborigines on Taiwan Island. They have rich and colorful culture, and their own music representing their uniqueness of expressing. The paper is established in their music in daily life, to probe into their attitude to music, existing way, expressing way, toward this end in view to have better and deeper understanding music culture of AmisAmis Harvest Worship Ceremony come down hundred years, kept to nowadays only by chant mouth to mouth. The Paper set it as the target to study Amis Harvest Worship and music culture in Dapu Tribe, through the agenda of the ceremony, Singing and dancing as key link, probe into connotation of Amis Harvest Worship and Music Culture. With deep study on migration history of Amis, introduces social system, life habit, religion, cultural character, language character, tales of legend of Dapu Tribe, highlight the importance and functionality of singing and dancing in the Amis Harvest Worship. Utilize multidirectional viewing angle from musicology, anthropology, folklore, ethnology and history, describe the style and characteristic deeply, truly and objectively on singing and dancing in Harvest Worship of Dapu Tribe. The writer study and clear up the historical data of Taiwanese aborigines, investigate in rural village and interview inheritors of Amis, take it down truly on agenda of Harvest Worship, characteristic of singing and dancing. State in detail the function and position of music culture in tribe’s daily life through the origins of the ethnic group, dressing culture, expressing art, etc, to probe into existing way how music culture effect ethnic group’s daily life, find out the value of academic research on Amis music culture, attach importance to position and impact of tribe music culture, draw more attention and protection for ethnic group’s music culture in Taiwan among scholars.
