The Civilian Pursuit In Lyrics Of Li Jin-hui’s Popular Songs

The Shanghai pop songs that started in the twenty or thirty’s in twentieth Century and be popular until now, as an important part of contemporary Chinese lyric discourse type, has played an irreplaceable role in expressing the feelings of common people, the most fundamental reason for the widespread dissemination of popular songs is the "civilian" thought in it. This kind of "civilian" thought cares much about the majority of population, which taking their acceptance as the starting point and their feelings as the end result, which is a very worthy advocate of literary and artistic creation tendency. Li Jin-hui, as the founder of popular songs, is the originator and practitioner of this thought.However, the existing research focuses on the background, style, creation characteristics and the spread and influence of Li Jin-hui’s pop songs, few relates to the monographic research on pop songs’ popularization idea and practice.This paper focuses on the civilian thought and it’s important significance of in the lyrics and the times value of Li Jin-hui’s popular songs, through the analysis of Li Jin-hui’s songs composed text, mining the implied civilian thought, highlighting the significance of Li Jin-hui’s creation of art works which were liked by people, and expecting the successor to inherit the civilian thought in a critical way.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction, three chapters and conclusion.The introduction part, mainly includes the reason of this topic and the significance of the study, the research status and results of the carding and the key concept of the exposition.The first chapter discusses the progress of establishment of Li Jin-hui’s civilian thought,through several events which have significant impact on the formation of Li Jin-hui’s civilian thought, combing the general context of the formation of this idea. The second chapter starts from the text of popular songs, through the specific analysis of the subjects, theme, musicality and language, rhythm, form and other aspects of Li Jin-hui’s popular songs, interpreting the concept of civilian integration of the popular song lyrics of Li Jin-hui. The third chapter focuses on the times meaning and cultural value of Li Jin-hui’s pop songs, this chapter through the integration of the above contents,summarizing the important significance of Li Jin-hui’s pop art at these levels which includes the times meaning of the civilian thought, "modern" sense of civilians, let folk songs to reproduce the vitality.
