In recent years, the high box office of nostalgic youth movie swept away before the youth film market downturn. This reflects that the identity construction in nostalgic Youth Films has received wide recognition from the audience.The identity conflicts are divided into three parts, the individual conflict, the parent-child conflict a nd the gender conflict with the adopted methods of content analysis, comparative anal ysis and case analysis. These conflicts are studied to reveal what effects the youth ima ges have made in the nostalgic movies.This paper is divided into five parts: The first chapter introduces the research background, literature review, research methods innovations account,and clears the main points of the thesis. The second chapter is the background of youth nostalgic films in the New Century.This part analyses the cause and characteristic of the fourth nostalgia wave. The third chapter is the found of the individuals in youth nostalgic films of the new century.With China Partners,Trouble in Hong Kong,Sherlock Worry and Full Bloom as the research object,this part analyzes the collision and fusion of young people and middle-aged people,and try to find a good direction for them.The fourth chapter is the change and reconstruction of the patriarchal identity in youth nostalgic films of the new century.With Qing Hong,Summer, The First Love Is Under,etc as the research object,this part summarizes the development of parent-child conflict, discusses the construction of a new parent-child relationship model. The communication between Chinese traditional culture and modern civilization brings the important influence in parent-child relationship.The fifth chapter is the construction of female images in youth nostalgic films of the new century, With We Will Eventually Lost Youth,China Partners,Small Time as the research object,this part analyzes female in the films that shows the colors of women’s workplace, and has an insight into the present young generation subversive relationships.
