Research Of Legal Problem In Hu Ding’s Inscription

Hu Ding’s(曶鼎)inscription is an important inscription of Western Chou period,For the research of Western Chou,it has great significance.Because of its inscription contained two complete cases, so it is more significant for the study of Western Chou period’s law.But because Hu Ding(曶鼎)prototype is fleeting,now it only remaining rubbing,and content of the inscriptions rays,rubbings are incomplete,contain case is complex,so on the legal research has been a lot of deficiencies.In this article,the two cases of Hu Ding(曶鼎)inscriptions will be the center,researches on the legal issues to the Western Chou period,.The paper mainly from three aspects.First,through the text of Hu Ding(曶鼎)inscriptions,and combined with other related materials unearthed literature and the literature handed down from ancient times,in case of complete reduction to this two case.The two cases of Hu Ding’s(曶鼎)inscription can named with case of“Wu Fu”(五夫)and case of“Kou He”(寇禾).All of their pass are not clear because of the difficult on text interpretation.For useing the two cases to research Western Chou’legal problem,we must clearly know that,how the two cases go through.Because of this,this article will first through the existing research results,to the two case Hu Ding(曶鼎)inscriptions to restore.Second, based on the reduction of two case, do some research on several legal problems of the Western Chou period.Before,the research of the Western Chou period’s law rely too much on"rites"(周礼)and so on the literature handed down from ancient times.Although this problem has improved in recent years,but has not been completely resolved.This article embarks from the Hu Ding(曶鼎)inscriptions,in combination with other bronze material and the literature handed down from ancient times.To the Western Chou dynasty litigation and trading some of the problems of study,concrete containing proceedings,litigation costs and other issues.Third, based on the study of the Western Chou period’s law specific issues,Discuss the legal view of that time, and what should pay attention to the problems in the research.Inscription of Western Chou period has certain some kinds of limitations, and the number of inscription is not very much.So,until now,We are still unable to recover the hole law of the Western Chou period.Nonetheless, combined with the existing materials, through the efforts, we can still know something of Western Chou period’s law.
