Tang Xianzu and Jiang Shiquan are both from Jiangxi. While lived in different times, but they have very similar life experience. Instead of a power or kitsch, both of them were busy on the pursuit of an independent personality. Tang’s drama writing was neither influenced by Wu Kun Opera nor it stuck to the Jiugong Four. On the other way, it focused on the persuit of “interest and charm”.Jiang wrote the drama as a poet. As a result, he paid attention to both the lyrics and the drama. Besides, they two have the similar comlex feelings on Jiangxi’s cultural tradition. However, since the two men lived in different times and also the two person had accepted different traditional Confucianism ethics to the different degrees, which was reflected in the drama that they may have similarities in the ideological but the differences of their operas were still very obvious.
