The Immortality Of RGal-Po:sDe DGe Print-house And The Competition Of Presitige In SDe-dGe Area

This dissertation is based on the perspective of anthropology. It focus on the historical process in the originate of sDe-dGe Print-house(sDe-dGe Par-Khang) and its impact on local culture. sDe-dGe Print-house was first established in 1729, the donor was Dempa Tsering---he is the 42 nd sDe-dGe rGal-Po. He spent more than 20 years and mobilized all kinds of craftsmen to complete the construction of sDe-dGe Print-house. In over two hundred years of history, sDe-dGe rGal-Po never terminate the Tripitaka-Curving work, the Print-house is known as the “Tibetan culture treasure house of books” today as a result. In addition to sDe-dGe rGal-Po himself sincerely believed in Buddhism,if there is any other social root played a positive role?We can find out the prosperity of sDe-dGe ’s regime was closely related to the construction of Print-house in the process of tracing the history of sDe-dGe family. this paper is aimed at dissecting the relationship between Print-house and sDe-dGe ’s regime,and discussing the role of sDe-dGe Print-house during the formation of sDe-dGe ’s native culture. the introduction would concentrate on carding the research of sDe-dGe and native culture of predecessor,while show the study thought and method of this paper chapter two would give a overall statement about the nature、history and humanity culture of my field place—sDe-dGe. based on analysis historical accounts of past events,chapter three lay emphasis on the rise of sDe-dGe chapter four around two aspects,how to extend the prestige of sDe-dGe today,and the influence on local society under that prestige the clue of chapter five comes from the work experience of two existing inheritor and disseminator of culture,aims to discussing how the two different prestige to interactive in present.
