This research used struct laboratory experimentation by behavioral experiment and ERP technology.The participants were randomly divided into an experimental and control groups.The experimental group was trained by NNMIM and they memorized Pi(complex numbers) by NNMIM.However, the control group memorized Pi by Mechanical memory.Early days of NNMIM concentrated on behavioral research. In recent years, Zhang Xu explored the neural mechanism of coding phase. And this research was the first of the neural mechanism of NNMIM. However,what ERPs will appear in retrieval phase when we use different methods,it is not known.This research studied correct,reaction time and the neural mechanism of retrieval phase of 25 secondary vocational school students with detection paradigm of learning and recognition and it based on Predecessors’ research. We inspected secondary vocational school students when they memorized complex numbers by two methods(NNMIM, Mechanical Memory). We asked the participants to judge whether they have learned the figures in the test stage, and recorded the ERPs of the retrieval phase, then examined the difference that they extracted successfully the old digital pairs(Pi)and new digital pairs,and the difference of different methods on old digital pairs.The behavioral data showed that the use of the method of NNMIM significantly increased the memory efficiency and speed for memory recall. The ERPs data showed that(1) old/new digital pairs existed significant differences on two methods in 300-500 and 500-800 ms.(2) Mechanical memory evoked more negative wave amplitude than NNMIM.(3)The control group extracted successfully new digital pairs evoked N400 is more higher than old digital pairs in the condition of Mechanical memory. It showed that the participants activated more semantic information.(4) In the condition of NNMIM, it evoked N700 when the participants extracted successfully old digital pairs on right centro-parietal and right parieto-occipital areas, and it showed that N700 contacted with using memory strategy and image.The results of behavioral data confirm that the NNMIM has significant effect on improving memory. On the other side, The ERPs data suggest that transformation for Pi activated right hemisphere. The NNMIM is much more helpful to improve the memory effect. |
