| Kierkegaard is a prominent personage who was neglected in the history of philosophy and literary theory. His life philosophy, literary view and literary creation,especially Communication of Capability and Cross-disciplinary Writing Practice directly influence many scholars such as Heidegger, Sartre and Kafka. Based on the view that literature is the important medium, the paper develops Communication of Capability from philosophy into literature and analyses three keywords of the theory:self-examination, despair, and irony in details connecting his literary text and three basic modes of existence: the aesthetic, the ethical, and the religious. This paper argues that Communication of Capability and Cross-disciplinary Writing Practice aim to emphasizing that literature has the philosophical value of freeing one’s mind to promote quality of life except the aesthetic and political function and it is reference valuable for both directing literary creation and analyzing literary reception theory. |
