The Decorative Tendency Research On Realistic Oil Painting In Contemporary China

With continuous exploration and practice, realistic oil painting has been through obvious changes on modelling, colors, materials and structures. More and more realistic arts are no longer limited to the traditional realism of pure sense. They apply decorative methods in art creation, especially the strong subjectivity, symbolism, complanation and conciseness which make the arts realize the independent thinking and expresaion in art language and flexible control to their works, so as to enrich the artistic connotation and forms of expression. The author analyses the application of decorative method in realistic oil painting from the perspective of modelling, structures, colors and materials, and finally concludes the correct way of the application of decorative methods.
