| Aesthetic experience is the core concept of Dewey’s aesthetics. Through the transformation of the traditional concept of experience, Dewey reinterprets aesthetic experience. Aesthetic experience is no longer some kind of spiritual mystical experience but from the development of life experience, and eventually return to the level of people’s life. What different is that, this kind of return brings aesthetics to people’s daily life, and make aesthetic life possible.This thesis consists of four chapters. The First Chapter summarizes the significance of aesthetic experience changes starts from the history of modern period. From psychological analysis, linguistic analysis and phenomenological analysis, this three aspects of aesthetic experience, roughly describes the three different perspective of modern theory of aesthetic experience. Finally, the thesis points out that Dewey gives the theory of aesthetic experience a new explanation from the unique perspective of pragmatism, which adds new impetus to the development of aesthetic experience. The Second Chapter is the main part of the thesis, mainly analyzes the internal contour of Dewey’s aesthetic experience theory. Firstly is that Dewey’s original thought is reformed experience, the thinking route is life experience, an experience, aesthetic experience. Aesthetic experience is the focus and enhancement of life experience. Secondly is from three dimensions of body, process and tools, discussing internal details of Dewey’s aesthetic experience comprehensively.
