| With the continuous development of pragmatics,such as the Speech Act Theory,Conversation Analysis Theory,Cooperative Principle,Politeness Principle,the study of commonly used Speech Acts emerge in endlessly,which mainly concentrated in request,refuse,praise, thank, apology, suggest,complain.In addition to these commonly used Speech Act,a lot of regret expression exist in our daily life,which is an important part of the Speech Act.However, the-special research of this aspect is almost vacant. On that account,we study deeply and systematically on the Speech Act of Regreting on modern Chinese on the basis of natural session data.The whole paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is about introduction. It mainly introduces the research status of the Speech Act of Regreting and the Speech Act of Apology, which is closely related to regret, as well as the purpose,significance and the theoretical basis of the research.On the second chapter,we gives a definition of the Regreting Speech Act on the basis of previous definitions. Then we make a detailed classification of Regreting Speech Act by the directness and typicality of regret expressions and the function of Chinese Regreting Speech Act.On the third chapter, on the basis of Conversation Analysis Theory,we sum up the conversational structure of the Regreting Speech Act by analyzing corpus.By using Cooperative Principle, Politeness Principle and Face Threatening Act, we analyze the expression mechanism of the Regreting Speech Act.On the fourth chapter, referring to the Blum Kulka’s(1989) study of speech act, we divided the sequential structure of Regreting Speech Act into three sequences,the core, the auxiliary and the modifier.Then analyze and summarize the expression strategy of them.On the fifth chapter,based on questionnaire survey, we analyze the differences of the regret expressions between the Chinese native speakers and the second language learners from the aspects of regret strategy and speech form.And we hope the result can provide a new way for teaching Chinese as a second language.On the sixth chapter, we view whether the regret expressions in present TCSL textbook compliance with the speech form and expression strategy of the Regreting Speech Act. Then combining with the expression difference between the second language learners and native speakers in Regreting Speech Act, we put forward suggestions on textbook compilation on the basis of the conversational analysis and pragmatics of regret we discussed before. Finally,we design related teaching arrangement of Regret Speech Act to improve their communication skills in spoken Chinese. |
