As the origins of traditional Chinese painting, Deep-color art shines in the long river of Painting history in China since original period, and it exudes the unique artistic belong to the Chinese nation. The traditional mural, as a deep-color art, originated in China flows into Japan, and then developed the Japanese painting under Japanese unique culture. The coloring material use of Japanese painting not only preserved lots of Chinese traditional natural mineral pigments, but also classified it by refined、innovated and color gradation mineral pigments, and then create a wider variety and finer pigment particles, and has a sustainable development from now on. However, Chinese deep-color painting has developed Prosperity from the original period to Song Yuan, due to the specific historical background, the literati were not taken seriously by the ruler and depressed, so they willing to ease the Melancholy with ink painting. Then the fresh ink painting and pastel hues paintings began to lead the trend of Chinese Painting, with the rise of Ink painting manifestation, the deep-color art developed slowly. Until the 1980s and 1990s, the deep-color Painting was taken seriously again under the context of reform and opening. Part of the artists began to seek a new way for deep-color Painting, they not only traced the origin to regain the traditional deep-color art, but also absorbed nutrients from Japanese painting. They found that the drawing principle, the use of material and expression techniques of Japanese painting are derived from Chinese traditional paintings, but the Chinese deep-color art under the Japanese culture developed the skin texture form with unique characteristics of Japanese nation. Through the development of Japanese painting, the artists re-examine the diverse texture language of traditional murals and inexhaustible artistic expression, and re-think and research the skin texture language of traditional murals’ enlightenment for contemporary deep-color paintings’development.The first chapter of this article mainly introduces the artistic characteristic and development of contemporary deep-color painting. From two aspects analysis the background and development reasons for the contemporary deep-color painting, such as, the mining of contemporary deep-color painting to traditional murals, painting reference from the eastern and Western painting and painting language diversification.The second chapter mainly discusses the skin texture representation of traditional mural. The unique skin texture language of traditional mural is produced by its unique Drawing material and overlapping expression. This unique skin texture language makes the contemporary deep-color painting has more choice on the use of material and the innovation of technique. In the formation of traditional murals’skin texture, this article divided into three parts, respectively as follows, the production process, the bearing materials and historical causes of the traditional murals. From the three aspects we can have a deep understanding of the formation of traditional murals’skin texture language.The third chapter of this article mainly introduce the expression of absorption and development of traditional mural in the contemporary deep-color painting artists’works. In the inheritance and innovation of traditional mural skin texture language, Yongli Tang, Mingzhe Hu, Wei Hu, Daoxi Zhang, RuiJin, these recompose and integrate the traditional mural in his works with a unique artistic language from different perspectives.In the fourth chapter, in addition to make a comparative analysis for Yongli Tang, Mingzhe Hu, Wei Hu, Daoxi Zhang, Rui Jin, the five artists’skin texture language, the author also analyzes the works of Xiuling Tang, Hongwei Jiang,Zhensheng Sun, and then lead to the aesthetic value of skin texture in contemporary deep-color painting. Through the richness of painting materials, the diversification of formal language and means of expression, underline the visual tension of color and the formation of artist’s personality and artistic style, the author carries on the summary, return to the discussion that, how the contemporary deep-color painting’s skin texture language not only absorbed into the foreign culture like all rivers run into sea, but also not loss the national characteristics in the material techniques too much and multicultural shock today.
