Research On "Chen Shu Sheng Xin" Thought In "the Origin Of Poetry" Of Ye Xie

Ye Xie’s The Origin of Poetry is one of the most important works of Chinese traditional poetics. It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese poetics with the systematic theoretical system and rich aesthetic thought. At present, the The Origin of Poetry research has achieved fruitful results, but there are still many problems to be further discussed. On the basis of the existing research results, this paper chooses the specific poetics problem of Chen Shu Sheng Xin. To sort out the historical background of this thought, analyze its poetic meaning and present its poetic value.This paper is composed of three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction part introduces the basis, research status, innovation and research methods of the paper, which shows the important significance of Chen Shu Sheng Xin.The main body consists of three chapters. The first chapter is the historical context of Chen Shu Sheng Xin. First of all, it is from the Ming Dynasty retro and repeated ancient battle,and the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties Poetry status quo, that this section illustrate the poetics background of Chen Shu Sheng Xin. Secondly, it is from the thought of“Neutralization” in Confucianism, the thinking mode of “treat” in the traditional philosophy and naive materialism thought that this section analyzes the source of Chen Shu Sheng Xin.Thirdly, the section combs the theory of Chen Shu Sheng Xin from the pre Qin Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty, and presents the internal logic of the theory change.The second chapter explains the connotation of Chen Shu Sheng Xin. “Treat” is an important category in Chinese traditional philosophy, and it has a dialectical factor. Ye Xie, in the eyes of the “treat”, is not the focus of the “unity of opposites” of the dialectical law, but focuses on the uncertainty movement characteristics of the two opposing sides in the process of movement. Based on this, this chapter explains the connotation of Chen Shu Sheng Xin from two dimensions. On the one hand, Chen Shu Sheng Xin is the aesthetic standard of poetry. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, retro camp advocated “Chen Shu”, but to“analog”; repeated ancient faction advocated “Sheng Xin”, but to “eccentric”, the two factions are biased toward. Ye Xie put forward the aesthetic standard of poetry that “Chen Shu” and“Sheng Xin” should be tempered, which criticized the classicist school and theanti-classicist school. On the other hand, the article analyze the law of development of Chen Shu Sheng Xin.Firstly, Chen Shu Sheng Xin incorporated into poetry development course, represented the“continuity” characteristics of the evolution of poetry; The second point is that “change” is regarded as the motive force of the development of poetry, and the essence of “change” is“sheng xin”; Thirdly, to dispel absolutism of “ups” and “downs”, and the “treat” is used in the history of the development of poetry.The third chapter discusses the poetic value of The Origin of Poetry from history of poetry, dialectical view, and system view. First of all, Chen Shu Sheng Xin has the history value of integrity, equality; Secondly, Chen Shu Sheng Xin sublated the traditional dialectical ideology; Thirdly, Chen Shu Sheng Xin has its vivid features of systematicness, logicality,which can detect the significance of Chen Shu Sheng Xin for the construction of Ye Xie’s poetry theory.In a word, Chen Shu Sheng Xin enriches the connotation of “inheritance and development”, and it has practical significance in the construction of the modern Chinese literary theory.
