Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing as two peaks of the modern literature, with the creation of its abundant and profound thoughts respectively become wonders of the history, and there is much study of the two people. The comparison of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing is also not a few, many theorists acknowledge them in revealing the national spirit of pessimism and despair of similar, but on the difference between Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing, they have different opinions. Some critics that the Zhang Ailing is not as good as Lu Xun, because she can’t get rid of desperation with a great mentality and indulge in material details of seeking psychological paralysis, pleasure and relief, so she did not has a great sense of mental energy and the socially-conservative spirit like Lu Xun. The point of this article is the different of revolting against despair of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing:Lu Xun’s rigid resistance is male, he attempt to break the despair from the internal constantly collision, eventually forming a constantly cycle of "desperate-hope-desperate"; Zhang Ailing’s resistance is a flexible way from women, trying to jump out of despair, overlooking the sentient beings from outside, it has a kind of intellectual factors.This paper start from the different angle of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing revolt against despair, described in four parts:the first part studies Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing’s literary works, focuses on mining reflect desperation consciousness in the works of two fragments; the second part tries to studies the different growth experience, marriage life, literature idea of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing, tries to discuss the reason of despair; the third part define the different angle of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing revolting against despair, and tries to make evaluation. Conclusion part will explore the inner factors of Lu Xun and Zhang Ailing literature position, the overseas Chinese scholars and mainland scholars of different ideological positions.
