80·8 scale has been widely used since it come out, but only exists in practical use. There are few researches to study on the mechanism of 80·8 scale. This research starts from working memory and processing speed for trying to establish a structural equation model to explore the relationship among working memory, processing speed and neurotype scale. The research chooses reading span, symmetry span and operation span as working memory’s observation variables, Digit/Symbol, Naming Symbols, Symbol Searching,Noun-Pair, Finding a and t, Canceling Symbols as processing speed’s observation variables, 80·8 scale as a measure of neural types scale. The neural types scale are divided into high score and low score groups, using independent sample t examination to analyse whether there are differences for high score and low score groups between 3 tasks of working memory and 6 tasks of processing speed. Based on the structural equation model, we verify the relationship between the working speed and working memory, and explore the relationship among processing speed, working memory and neurotype scale. The results show that:(1)80·8 scale’s high score group and low score group have obvious difference between processing speed’s Noun-Pair, Symbol Searching, Digit/Symbol, Naming Symbols, Canceling Symbols and working memory’s reading span task, operation span and symmetry span task, and not noticeable result for finding a and t task in processing speed;(2) Reduce two observation variables of the perceptual speed. After finding a and t task and symbols searching task, Noun-Pair task, canceling symbols task, naming symbols task as observation variables for potential variable processing speed and reading span task, operation span task, symmetry span task as observation variables for working memory variable is obviously positive correlation;(3) Working memory and neurotype scale, processing speed and neurotype scale are obviously correlated. But after further establishment with structural equation model, it is found that the results are not fully met the present model and perceptual speed have some explain for neuron types scale, but the causal relationship between working memory and neurontype scale is false.
