Chinese folk’s art occupies an important position in the long history of culture, it continues the primitive art, showing strong vitality and profound cultural background. For a long time, China’s animation and folk art are inseparable. Traced back to the shadow puppet theater of China,it can be counted as the pioneer of Chinese animation. Derive the essence from the rich folk art treasures, is one of the important way for Chinese animation nationalization.Chinese paper-cut animation is a clever combination of folk paper-cut art and modern animation techniques. From 1958 to 2006, Chinese paper-cut animation had totally 63 units. Poduct one per-year on average,also their quantity were classical. 1950 s to 80 s, the development of Chinese paper-cut animation from germination to maturity, experienced a hard innovation stage, finally in the history of the world animation back on its feet. But since the 1990 s years, began to decline. In the current society as a whole are blindly copycat commercial animation and so on the Japan, South Korea, the United States, under the condition of study, draw lessons from and study of Chinese folk fine arts modelling idea, and its application in the Chinese animation modelling teaching and creation, to become China youth connect way of Chinese traditional culture and art.This paper through the analysis of Chinese folk paper-cut, on the one hand, study and research of folk art and its methods and characteristics of modelling and color, on the other hand to understand and grasp the good tradition of Chinese traditional folk art and the thinking mode of "all things have spirit and creative ideas, so that the animation production personnel is not blind worship of western culture and the culture of Japan and South Korea, on this basis to create the Chinese era characteristics and artistic style, in accordance with the Chinese aesthetic temperament and interest of animation works.The main body of the article research is paper-cut animation in China, the research direction for the Chinese paper-cut animation modelling and color, paper cutting is one of the types of folk art in China, so you need to draw inspiration from the essence of folk art. The article deeply analyze the modelling of the folk art ideas and color, and analysis of paper-cut animation modelling and color for the reference and application. First part of this article is divided into four chapters and the body, the introduction part is divided into two sections, the first section introduces the selected topic background, expounds the reasons of selecting this topic and introduces the practice and theory of Chinese and foreign paper-cut animation level; Section 2 illustrates the research content and objectives of the article. The first chapter introduces the appearance and development of paper-cut animation, detailed discusses the historical evolution of paper-cut animation and its classification and characteristics, set up this chapter content purpose is to let people to have a general understanding of the sequence of events of paper-cut animation, for the back of content. Chapter 2 analysis details of the Chinese folk model concept, discusses its concrete application in the paper-cut animation and its effects on paper-cut animation. System the third chapter discusses the Chinese folk color idea generation, form, function, collocation characteristics, through the analysis of typical paper-cut animation, this paper discusses the concept of Chinese folk paper-cut animation and color. The fourth chapter according to the above research and combined with the content of the creation of paper-cut animation, has analyzed its modelling, the relationship between color and Chinese folk art.
