"Zen" And The Creation Of Contemporary Painting

The article is organized in four segmentations. The first illustrates the concept of Zen and its historical evolution. The theology of Zen has an object directed to human hearts and who has the epiphany of knowing the true nature of Buddha is the potential god. It is said in the open case of picking up flowers between Buddha and Kashyapa. The ancient story was passed on to Dhahma and incorporated into the culture of middle earth and China with him to the formation of the special Chinese characterized ideas on Zen. Under the influence, the depiction of Zen in drawings has budded, rooted and boomed in the Chinese land witnessing the splendid turn of changes in the long river of history; the second depicts the impact and influence of Zen on Sino-western art of painting in modern and contemporary times and also lists artists typical in representing this art form with the analysis on the relationship between their expression of art and Zen. Among Chinese artists, Lin Fengmian and Chang yu are the milestone symbol of inheriting the spirit of Chinese intellectual art culture in paintings while from western counterparts, Duchamp and Morandi as well as the genre of Japanese materialist artists are chosen; the third segmentation analyzes the possibility of Zen in the process incorporating into the oriental and western art of painting from the theoretical perspective so as to future demonstrate the world outlook and methodology of Zen in the direction of practical art; the last part states the feasibility of expressing Zen under the guidance of contemporary art creations in my years of further academic distinction. The creation and practice of my own is categorized as the following four:in Tibetan times; on Winter Woods of Winter in Emei Mountain; those facsimileing Chinese classical landscape paintings and series on daily lives.
