Abstract/Summary:
Strange Tales from Liaozhai was completed in nineteen years of emperor Kangxi (1680) by the writer Pu Songling, There are 491 short stories in this book, which have a unique style of literary language and thinking style and became the peak of the Chinese classical novels. Although these 491 stories about ghost and fox in a magic, they have covered everything about the social features in the alternation of Ming and Qing Dynasties. However, Using the common mode of the story in the literature history, you can find all the stories can be divided into two categories:1, human beings into Fantasyland, which include into the heavens, into the underworld, in the wonderland, into dream, into the strange countries.2, Foxes, ghosts, fairies, demons into Human world. The focus of this paper is the previous type, to analyze the plot mode and cultural connotation about the stories of human being in the "Fantasyland", and to interpret the contents of its narrative and culture.The paper is composed of the following parts:The introduction summarizes the current research status of this topic in China, and discusses the definition of "Fantasyland" on this basis. At the same time, the paper also lists and distinguishes the research of the same subject. Through the analysis of the shortcomings of previous studies, this paper puts forward the research ideas of this paper.The first chapter focuses on the analysis of the Peregrinators and the Travel Perspective of the "Fantasyland" stories. Learn through the same type stories from the Qin Dynasty to the Strange Tales from Liaozhai, the identity change of the Peregrinators who into the "Fantasyland". With the change the Peregrinators’identity, and the distance between human world and other worlds is also change. To analysis the strategy of perspective in Pu Songling’s Strange Tales from Liaozhai by Peregrinators’fantasy travel activities.The second chapter mainly discusses the plot structure mode of the "Fantasyland" stories. The paper aims to use Pu Andy and Yang Yi’s Chinese narrative analysis to found out the circular pattern in the fantasy travel in the structure, and to explore the circular mode in the role model and the semantic matrix in those fantasy travel stories.The third chapter focusing on the types and classifications of "Fantasyland", and goes back to their imagination origin in the Chinese psychology cultural, and in transformation and innovation in Pu Songling’s "Strange Tales from Liaozhai". Explaining the cultural connotation of these imaginations.The fourth chapter discusses the literary influence of the "Fantasyland" stroies. From two parts, the comparative of fantasy traditional about "Fantasy" between Chinese and Western and The new myth of the original fantasy literature in China, the inheritance of the "Fantasyland" stories in The creation of Chinese contemporary literature writers, Thinking about the significance of its inheritance and Re-creation.
