The Study Of Tambourine Roll Skill In 《Conversation For Two Tambourines》

Tambourine roll technique is the object of study in this thesis. Conversation for two tambourines which written by Bobby Lopez was taken as an example.In the first Chapter, the author introduces the tambourine historical evolution on tambourine’s names; analyzing the beaters, the method of playing on single strokes, quick strokes and the rolls (shake rolls, thumb rolls and finger rolls) and tonal characteristics. The second Chapter including the introduction of Bobby Lopez and Conversation for two tambourines, and the performance notes including the way of playing ’Grover Trick’ and triplet with a release note,etc. in the work. Division of the paragraph and the statistic on the tambourine performance skill in the Conversation for two tambourines; the application of tambourine roll skill in the Conversation for two tambourines and orchestral repertoire which appears in the third Chapter.
