This research adopts the questionnaire survey and experimental research combination of focuses on the influence of the self flexibility on psychological symptom. Firstly,Using the method of random sampling,we survey 279 college students with measuring the “self flexibility questionnaire”, “the big five personality inventory”, “the self-assessment lists of symptom SCL- 90 ”.Through the questionnaire investigation,we investigate current situation of college students’ self flexibility, and flexibility, the relationship between personality characteristics and mental symptoms.Secondly, we select the high and low self flexibility subjects to participate in respectively sitting forget intervention training.Finally,adopting the method of EEG experiment investigate sitting forget state and meditation under the differences in brain activity.According to the research of the above the following conclusions:(1) Self flexibility does not exist significant differences in gender, there were significant differences in grade, undergraduate level of self flexibilityity is significantly higher than graduate students.This may be due to the graduate student facing social pressure and social cultural expectations. self flexibility survival in significant difference in disciplines, science and engineering subjects scores on reflection dimensions were significantly higher than that of the school of arts living, this may be due to different ways of thinking lead to sciece and individual.(2) High and low self flexibilityity were significant different in mental symptoms,individual with high self flexibilityity ‘s mental symptoms is better than the individuals with low self flexibilityity, this shows that the self flexibilityity is a positive psychological qualities.(3) The self flexibilityity, personality characteristics and mental symptoms are related.Self flexibility has partial intermediary effect between certain personality traits(Neuroticism/agreeableness) and mental symptoms.(4) Participants of high self flexibility group is no significant differences between before and after training, after sitting forgotten training,low self flexibility individuals’ s self flexibility score increases significantly. This suggests that self flexibilityity is a relatively stable qualities, but not the same, low self flexibility have higher room to improve.(5) The training of sitting forgetting has a significant impact on the mental symptoms,after sitting forgotting training intervention, the scores of mental health symptoms increased significantly. This indicatis that sitting forget training can effectively reduce the mental symptoms(6) when the individuals are in sate of sitting oblivion/ meditating, the the frontal alpha power significantly greater than the blank. This suggests that sitting oblivion sit and meditation are a valid way to relax, when individuals are in sate of sitting forgetting or meditation,there are not exist significant differences on the frontal alpha power, may be they have some similar brain physiological mechanism.(7)when the individuals in sate of sitting forgetting or meditating, theta state of frontal power significantly are higher than that of blank, and the individuals in the condition of sitting forgetting have higher the frontal theta power than meditation.(8)regardless of the frontal alpha power or frontal theta power, high self flexibility individuals are significantly higher than that of low flexibilityity of the individual self, this shows that the flexibility effectively promoted the relaxed myself.
