Jin Zhengping And Tone Poem <the Spring Of Changbai Mountain>

As a Chinese Korean in China, Jin Zhengping is a renowned composer, educator and conductor, working as a national first-grade conductor, the vice-chairman of China Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles and the managing director of Chinese Society of Film and Music. His ancestral home is Xinchuan County in Hwanghae-do, North Korea, however he was born in Nanchang, China. Deeply immersed in his family environment, he loves music since childhood and then embarked on the music road. He created many extraordinary music works, such as A National Martyr, a symphony, the Spring of Changbai Mountain, a symphonic poem, and the Silk Road, a symphonic suite.Jin Zhengping’s music works are closely linked with his life experience, therefore, this paper mainly elaborates on the connection between the symphonic poem the Spring of Changbai Mountain and his life experience, containing the following four parts.Firstly, the introduction part gives accounts of the study background, study aim and significance, current study situation and study methods. With clear study background, the study aim and significance can be obtained; with proper study methods, the current situation of Jin Zhengping’s relevant subjects can be figured out to fill study gap.Secondly, the study on Mr Jin’s life experience begins with a discussion on his family background, analyzing the historical reasons of his long-term living in Chinese areas and the historical process of his family moving from North Korea to China. Meanwhile, the great impact of music creation on his life is analyzed by tracing his life experience, with the creation background of the Spring of Changbai Mountain expounded.Thirdly, through analysis on Jin Zhengping’s symphonic poem the Spring ofChangbai Mountain, the musical structure of symphonic poems is acquired, with the structural features summarized. The Spring of Changbai Mountain is thoroughly analyzed from the three aspects of harmonic materials, harmonic progression and tonality shift of harmonic support. The application of orchestration and skills in the symphonic poem are summarized. With homo phony as the main form, this symphonic poem also adopts polyphony skills, which are analyzed one by one in this paper.Fourthly, preconditioned by the technical analysis of the music noumenon, it is concluded that the symphonic poem is to express limitless connotation through limited music. This paper also presents the application of national elements in the symphonic poem and the Korean music style in the Spring of Changbai Mountain. The impressiveness of the symphonic poem can be mirrored in music forms and musical expressions for objective scenes.
