Research The Relationship Between Personality Characteristics And Coping Modes Of Community Correction Offenders In Jinan

This thesis mainly aims at the Jinan community correction offenders, their personality characteristics, coping modes, and the correlation between them, and analyzes the causes of influence the personality characteristics and the coping modes; Using HTP to analyze Jinan community correction offenders’psychological states, to validate the quantitative results. Aiming to give community correction staff a more scientific and humanism guidance method, with specific attention to every inmates, pay more attention to this kind of crowd’s state of mind, promote their own personality, forming a positive coping modes. Test used in this paper including the Eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ), coping mode scale and HTP drawing analysis, adopt the method of integral random sampling, selected of Jinan community correction offenders randomly, used statistical methods for the data results.Research conclusion as follows:(1)Community correction offenders’ personality characteristics different from normal people, and get the mutual influence of some factors, such as gender, age, culture level, type of crime, etc. Therefore in community correction, staff should give them more attention and support, help them to improve their ability of emotion regulation, open their heart to face the others, form a good personality.(2)Community correction offenders’coping modes different from normal people, and get the mutual influence of some factors, such as gender, age, culture level, type of crime, etc. Most people use a positive way when they encounter problems to solve, this shows that most people can rationally deal with the problem; The least mode to use is remorse, although remorse is negative way, but it can suggest that they rarely reflect upon themselves, which is one of the possible causes of crime, offenders in the community corrections. They usually adopt the way of external attribution, rarely due problems to them.(3) There is relationship between personality characteristics and coping modes of community correction offenders. The internal and external dimension of the personality characteristics is positively correlated with solving problem orientation and help orientation dimension of coping modes, and negatively correlated with other dimensions. The psychoticism dimension and neuroticism dimension are positively correlated with the rationalization, self-accusation, retreat and fantasy negative dimensions, and negatively correlated with other dimensions. Understanding these can play a positive role, lower their crime. It also suggests that the importance of psychological counseling in correct objects. Guiding them take a positive way to deal with, pay attention to perfect their own personality characteristics at the same time, it will be better to face the future work and life.(4) We can know it is same of the results between quantitative research and HTP, there is some disguise in Eysenck personality questionnaire, but it is not significantly affect to the results.
