In the political and cultural background of the Yuan Dynasty unified, Shanxi area due to the special geographical environment and cultural heritage, the tomb murals inherited the legacy of the song and Jin Dynasty, but also has strong characteristics of the times.At present, the number of national Inner Mongolia Yuan Dynasty tomb murals in Shanxi found the most massive archaeological materials for us to study in Shanxi laid the foundation for the Yuan tomb murals, decorative murals vividly embody the rich content of the local people’s aesthetic conceptions, customs and spiritual pursuit.In this thesis, through the comprehensive study, from tombs,funerary objects and the layout of murals and other summary of Shanxi Meng Yuan tomb with murals of historical and regional characteristics, combined with data from the literature on the contents of the paintings of in-depth, detailed investigation,mining all kings of murals in the tomb of the deep meaning, the reasons of mural themes and Shanxi Meng Yuan tomb with mural paintings reflected the Chinese culture, national culture mixed financial situation to make inquiry.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction, including the definition of related concepts, the relevant academic history, the research methods and theoretical guidance, as well as the theory of innovation and the lack of innovation and so on.In the second chapter, the author makes a summary of the characteristics of the tomb of the Yuan Dynasty tomb in Shanxi.Shanxi Meng Yuan tomb with murals of building shapes, according to construction materials can be divided into brick chamber tomb and sarcophagus tomb, according to the main chamber of the plane shapes can be divided into square and polygon tomb.Funerary object type, quantity is rich, mainly in ceramics, copper iron, wood paint and paper burial objects such as,reflecting the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty Shanxi area handicraft industry development level is higher.Tomb murals mainly in mubi tomb and the top two parts layout, mubi murals in wall painted, painted on the side wall of the secondary content, mainly divided into two forms of "antechamber, sleep" and outdoor, indoor ", tomb murals painted on the ceiling of the main is ignited the good wishes of the universe, celestial phenomena and extradition of immortal scene, and plane are plotted, and the real world contrast.Compared with the previous generation tomb murals, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia Yuan tomb with murals of the key is not to reproduce the scenes oflife in tomb during his lifetime, but rather to highlight tomb decoration art.In the third chapter, the profound connotation of the various kinds of murals of the Yuan Dynasty in Shanxi area were analyzed.Shanxi yuan tomb murals are well preserved, rich themes, tomb murals are usually symmetrical layout to the tomb wall.The main themes of the murals involve the worship spectacles, the daily life scenes, the stories of filial piety, the landscape and figure painting, the stories in Yuan Drama and so on.These exquisite preservation of the murals not only reflects the prevailing artistic level, funeral concepts and customs, also contains the traditional Chinese culture of filial piety, settle the feudal state of social life and social reality.The fourth chapter is the discussion of related issues.
