In recent years, under the tendency of mythical novels are widely loved by multitudinous readers, some genius writers and some distinguished works are being emerged in the world. At this time, it is very important to introduce these works to other countries in the world. And translation has become the significant bridge to link up these two areas. Therefore, many translators devote themselves to translation to make contribution to cross-cultural communication of the world.This thesis is a translation report on the English-Chinese translation practice of the novel Crystal Kingdom(from Part one to nine) by Amanda Hocking, who is the new generation American writer. This novel mainly describes Bryn Aven’s growing experience and the events of her kingdom which tells readers a story full of positive energy by the description of Bryn’s perfect metamorphosis and the efforts and sacrifices of their kingdom’s defending.Based on the contents of dialogue and narrative, this thesis selectively analyses and summarizes the difficult parts in the process of translating, which include the translation of special words, features of individual speakers and difficult and long sentences. The approaches used are annotation-added method, meaning extension method, Chinese four-character structure, interpretation method, sentence refactoring, adding or deleting restructuring method, etc..Through this translation practice, the thesis author profoundly realizes the complexity, hardship and significance during the process of literature translation, especially about the novel translation For translators, all of these are precious wealth of experience. And at the same time, it reminds the translator that besides the knowledge of translation theories we should have, we also need to acquire a good commend of two languages, plenty of cultural knowledge and various translation activities.
