| Liang Qichao was a famous philosopher, revolutionist, litterateur and translator in modern Chinese history. As a foremost intellectual leader and a pioneer of enlightenment movement, he played a vital role in Chinese evolution from the old society to modern bourgeois revolution. Besides, Liang Qichao created a new literary style in written language in order to awaken public consciousness about the western new culture and new ideas. His thoughts about saving the nation and reviving the literature remained to be valuable up to now. Many of his works were included in the Collation of Collected Works from the Ice-Drinker’s Studio, which still has great academic and cultural value in contemporary society.The translation materials of this report are excerpted from the Collation of Collected Works from the Ice-Drinker’s Studio. The report centers on the aesthetic reception theory from the perspective of "three-dimensional structure" and "expectation horizon". The first part is the introduction about the new literary style, literal review and the significance of the study. The second part explains the application of aesthetic reception theory and the next three parts are the focal points explaining the three-dimensional structure in translation. The translation in linguistic perspective analyzes the translation methods from word choice and sentence pattern, including the translation of new words, slang, culture-loaded words and special sentence pattern. The extra-linguistic translation goes on from the aspects of rhetoric as well as literary style, and the next inter-language translation discusses the translation skills from the perspective of cultural and thinking differences. The last part concludes the study fruits and the limits of this translation report.In all, the report and translation are aimed at arousing readers’emotional resonance and transcending their expected horizon, so the classic works could fulfill its second life.
