A Practice Report On Simulated C-E Cl Of The Key Speeches At CCBN 2015 Keynote Speech Conference

With the rapid development of globalization and the enhancement of communication in politics, economics and culture, interpreting is becoming an important media in cross cultural communication. During the interpretation, the interpreter not only needs to understand the whole speech but also needs to use the coherent target language to express all the messages of the speaker. This is no doubt a huge challenge.This report is mainly based on the materials of the speeches on the Keynote Speech Conference of CCBN 2015. It has three parts. They are task description, source text analysis and the problems and solutions. From the interpreting practice perspective, the author analyzes some problems during the C-E consecutive interpreting such as the misinterpretations, information loss and the interpretations of some figures of speech. Through the performance during the interpretation, the author elaborates on the reasons of the problems appeared on the interpretation site, and finally finds some solutions to those problems through the analyses of some examples during the interpretation practice such as addition, simplification and the improvement of note-taking.Lastly, the author proposes some advice to improve the interpretation skills through those methods mentioned above.
