The Application Of The Yongle Palace Murals Line Research In Creative Practice

Situated in Bing city, Shanxi Province, Yongle Palace is a great treasure of mural arts in our country. It represents the supreme accomplishment of traditional Chinese heavy variety fine brushwork figure painting in the yuan Dynasty. The Yongle Palace murals becomes a tribute to worship in ancient Chinese painting art in this vein for its grand composition, smooth solid, thick lines and elegant color. Murals of saturated and vigorous,with both spirit and shape line-drawing art study is the starting point of this paper and the key point for the author to apply it to the creative practice.The first chapter of this paper is a brief introduction of Yongle Palace mural art. The second chapter mainly analyzes the main presentation forms of yongle palace mural painting line, separately analyzed from the two styles of iron line and orchid Ye Miao two line style.The third chapter discusses the artistic features of the yongle palace murals line, mainly from the uniqueness of line and line of formal beauty in the application of murals. The fourth chapter analyzes the influence of yongle palace murals line art influence on modern and contemporary fine brushwork figure painting creation. It takes the works of Ren Bonian, Gu Shengyue, Wang Shuhui and He Jiaying as an example to expound specifically their heritage and development of Yongle Palace mural painting line. Chapter five is the appliance of Yongle palace murals line art in my creative practice.
