Objective Adolescent schizophrenia social cognitive function exist a certain damage, social cognition, including emotional processing, theory of mind and empathy, empathy ability damage have a significant impact to patients’ academic and social life,so intervention of the patients of adolescent schizophrenia empathy has clinical and social significance.Empathy training methods referring to this study at home and abroad and,according to the disease and age characteristics of adolescent patients with schizophrenia,preparation of mainly in the form of games to empathy ability training of patients, observe patients using event related potential technology electrical response of the context of the pain of others in order to preliminary explore the role of the empathy training in adolescent patients with schizophrenia.Methods 70 adolescent of schizophrenia(age 13 to 18 years old) was selected in anhui province mental health center,divided into the empathy training group(n = 35),accepted 5 weeks(2 times a week, a total of 10) empathy training and the control group(n = 35),accepted general health propaganda.Empathy training method is according to adolescent of schizophrenia’s age and disease characteristics, combined with domestic and foreign technology,used in the past research and formulation of empathy training.The patients identify themselves and others expression,posture, comprehend others intentions and thoughts, identify gaffes and others in gaffes situation of emotional experience and learn how from the perspective of others by imitating, performance,listening,feedback,practice etc.Eye Basic Emotion Discrimination Task(“happy”“sad”“fear”“anger”).Chinese version of interpersonal reactivity index,including perspective taking, PT; fantasy, FS; empathy concern, EC; personal distress, PD. Faux pas recognition,namely recognize gaffes what the speaker is misunderstanding and said something that let the listener awkward, uncomfortable and psychological state that people sad, angry, embarrassed, sad, etc.Faux pas recognition inlude identify gaffes, understanding gaffes, control problems, gaffes total score was used to test and analyze two groups before and after the intervention. Empathy for pain paradigm were used. Subjects were required to judge whether the person in the picture felt painful and rate pain degree regarding to painful and neutral pictures. Accuracy, reaction time and ratings of pain degree were used as indicators of empathy for pain.This paradigm was tested and analyzed two groups in baseline and five weeks after the intervention.Results In the empathy training group, Eye Basic Emotion Discrimination Task, Faux pas recognition.Post‐training scores were significantly higher than pre‐training,(P <0.05),Chinese version of interpersonal reactivity index have no significant difference(P>0.05),control group have no significant difference(P>0.05);between the empathy training and lecture classes group,Faux pas recognition scores were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05), Chinese version of interpersonal reactivity index scores has no significant difference(P>0.05).By comparing the EEG data show that after five weeks of training, empathy training group is no better than baseline of EEG about the pain stimulation pictures(P> 0.05);Empathy training group and control group have a statistical difference of EEG in response to pain stimulation pictures of FCZ point(P < 0.05).Conclusion Empathy of adolescent patients with schizophrenia can be improved by training.
