| The Master’s degree course of the China Conservatory of Music requires all performance-based students to graduate with a final solo recital. The final recital is, therefore, a significant platform for the showcase of the student’s learning outcome at the end three-year course. It is also an important threshold towards a performing career after graduation. This dissertation serves as a blueprint of the recital’s title conceptualization, concert planning and execution, and choice of music works, clearly stating the aesthetic ideas towards the choice of recital title, the choice of musical works, the introduction of new premieres and the analysis and performance notes of the chosen pieces. Furthermore, there will be personal insights on music of different era, genres, execution and reflection towards the pieces of the recital. In the conclusion, there will be a reflection towards the aesthetic value of the final recital and the difficulties or obstacles through the preparation process. |
