My Beloved

Under the guidance of my mentor, I have made substantial progress in singing during the past three years. This solo concert is not only the concentration of the past3-year study results, but also a milestone of my persistent pursuit for vocal art.When preparing the concert, I reviewed a lot of songs and then decided to perform the following categories: original songs, opera, ancient songs, traditional Chinese opera and pop songs. However, it’s not easy to present all the different types of songs with various methods within 90 minutes. After analyzing the songs in an in-depth way, I chose more than ten of them on the basis of representativeness,extensiveness, flexibility and uniqueness, to reflect different styles, techniques, times and languages. When recomposing the songs, I tried my best to keep good balance between the original ones and the new ones. The songs I’ve selected fall into four sets.Visual effects, as well as audio effects, play an important role in the performance of vocal music. Therefore, I spent much time and energy in designing the costumes and the stage to present an remarkable concert.
