With 83 percent of its population, Hinduism is the main part of the religion in India.It contains the theoretical system of religion rules,so the rules of the religion influence the life and thought of Indian people. As to the history of the development of Hinduism which is derived from Brahmanism and relevant to Buddhism, it is founded in the six century AD and inherited Brahmin caste system and the concept of karma. One of the classical religion thought system of Hinduism is Veda, it is not only describes its religious thought, but also provides for people’s basic needs and lifestyle. The thesis focus on the most important practical active of Hinduism------Ganga Puja Ceremony, aiming to explore the relationship among regional belief, ritual and music.In the history of India, Ganga Puja Ceremony had existed for 200 years. It also called‘fire festival’. Fire festival is stem from Cremation which is a traditional ritual for Indian people. Cremation is understood as the most important part of last step of life,it is aim to purify the soul, and ultimately to seek freedom. Above all, Ganga Puja Ceremony is the advanced form of cremation ceremony. In the Ganga Puja Ceremony,the Brahmin class as priests plays a very important role throughout the ceremony, the ceremony prey for Agni. The music plays a major media in conveying the content of the ritual, and strengthened the religions aura. The religions theoretical system is the support of the entire ceremony. During the progress of the ceremony, music is the tool to communicate with the God.Ganga Puja ceremony is the most important form of Hinduism theoretical practice. It is proved that the Hindu ruling is so powerful. The music in the ceremony is used as a mean to heighten the atmosphere of ceremony. The study analyzed the relationship between behavior patterns and interaction action, as well as Indian culture and religion, religion and rituals, rituals and musical events,in order to get the information of history and development of the Ganga puja ceremony.
