Ethical Dignity Of Wealth Creators

A rapid development of economy has taken placed in China since the policy of reform and opening was put forward. With the improvement of industrialization and urbanization constantly, earth-shaking changes have taken place in people’s life. Thanks to the hardwork of all wealth creators, we are able to make these remarkable achievements in such a short time. However, in reality, the wealth creators fail to gain the approval and respect corresponding to their marvellous contributions. Therefore, the issue on how to enable the wealth creators to attain approval and respect which should have been equivalent to their achievements will be focused on and researched, with the question of wealth creators’ ethical dignity included.The paper analyses this question from the aspects of the definition and origin of wealth creators’ ethical dignity, the way to maintain it and the theorectical and real benefits of its maintainment. We believe that the existence of human society can not be separated from the continuous creation and accumulation of wealth. The creators of wealth in a certain extent are founders and pioneers, so the social values they reflect contain precious moral value. That’s why the moral values of wealth creators can not be ignored. What’s more,the ethical dignity of wealth creators is the result of people’s approval of their moral values, and it embodies respects to those who create beneficial material or spiritual wealth in a way which fits the wealth ethics. Maintaining wealth creators’ ethical dignity is beneficial to affirming the moral value of them, to seeking the certain interests of them and to promoting the social morality and the construction of the ideal society. Human needs to maintain the ethical dignity of wealth creators from two aspects—the moral cultivation of individuals and the reasonable design and arrangement of social system.
