Regardless of the Taiping movement is seen as a rebellion or revolution, it has long been regarded as one of the events that have far-reaching influence on the modern history in China. As a result, the movement surely becomes the object of study for contemporary historians. In today’s academic circles, the study of the nature,significance, religion, politics and other aspects for the Taiping Tien kuo involved in the study, but also to make a variety of different interpretations.No matter how the Taiping revolution research results, all the research scholars who study on the history of the Taiping are faced with a problem,which can be used for the original information is very little. Research must be greatly depended on the original data of the second level.The theme of this paper is the Taiping Tien kuo view of the Western missionaries by the movement as an outsider, the missionaries make use of their direct observation and personal experience, and write down the diary, letters, or theory published in the journal. It could not be compared for the outsiders of the movement in China. They rely on a relatively special position to engage in observation and description.Although it still has limitations, on the other side, which recorded and met the Taiping,many questions were put forward, and a lot of details had been taken. To a certain extent, it makes up for the deficiency of the chinese records, which also was a kind of unusual value.After the opium war, it has not made much progress of the foreign missionary activities for missionaries in China. After the outbreak of the revolution of the Taiping movement, its peculiar religious that just fit in with the missionary work of preaching the Gospel widely,and the need of getting information for motherland.Thus, in order to adapt to the special mission, the missionaries(mainly British and American)enter the occupation to understand the movement deeply. This thesismainly discusses the Taiping of religions, political, military, social economy and moral customs from the western missionaries. With time goes, and the degree of the deepening of the movement, the preacher preached to the cognition and attitude of the movement, specific performance from indirect to direct, from the shallow to the deep,from hope to despair.The Taiping Tien kuo view of The missionaries is constantly change and develop, which is restricted by the subjective and objective historical condition at that time. But to some extent, it has influenced the western church and government more or less. Even it becomes both a bellwether of China policy change.Western missionaries in the process of contact with the Taiping As western’s policy changed, even tile the Qing government. Eventually, there was no contact between the missionaries and the Taiping Tien kuo.
