Recently academic circles pay more and more attention to the prose of parallel prose masters in the Southern Song Dynasty and the case studies on them also have emerged one after another frequently.QiChongLi, a famous civilian offician during the reign of Emperor GaoZong, wrote many parallel prose with a kind of official documents, especially in the system table a letter to the rev. Influenced by the imperial experience in his early life, Qi’s proses generally feature with literary quotation, four- or six-word phrases, and apting themes. Therefore, the previous literary critics commoned that the features of his prose could be matched with that of LuZhi, and the beauty of it could be compared with WangZao. The current studies of Qi Chongli, however, pay little attention on his proses and only stay on his whole life and his collected works with fewcase studies. To fill the blank, this paper selects Qi Chongli’s parallel prose as the research object, and can be divided into four system-- Zhizhao, Biao, Qiwen and Qixie proses. His Zhizhao prose properly expressed the meaning of the emperor, as a model of endorsements works. And Biao prose, including both emotion and related facts, is regarded as ancient books;Qi prose is short simple and bright. Text rhetoric of QiXie cares about the royal family and people sincerely. Next, this article will continue to classify on the basis of the classification standards for function and the objects of facing, and select some representative ones to analysis.The Southern Song Dynasty followed the style of the northern song dynasty, which combine ancient prose sentence into the paralle prose and pay attention to rules. As one of its representative writer, Qi Chong li’s paralle prose in succession, created on the basis of allocation of song dynasty, combined with times characteristics, both the long sentence, tendency of free formation, and would like to allocation of the body, the rules exactly, embody the " tendency of free formation" and "tendency of complying with the specifications" of dual characteristics. In addition, his prose is multi-purpose cooked standard, need not obscure the difficult words and show "not for cliff different words" and "perfect" style. QiChongLi was compared to BaiJuyi in paralle prose because his word was plain so that pedlars, menial servants and old woman could understand his meaning.
