The Creative Report Of "Mi"

Life is the inexhaustible source of creation. With emergence of various entertainment activities, people often choose a way of watching movies, listening to music or traveling etc. to relax themselves in their spare time., which makes us always be in a bustling and noisy environment and our mode also turns to be restless. Because of the above realization, I would like to create a quiet but sweet painting to express my pursuit and understanding of the quiet life in the real life. I call it Mi, Mi means peace and quiet. However, my creation invests it with the meaning of tranquility and sweetness so as to express my pursuit of ideal life and a kind of life state.Through depiction of quiet and peaceful indoor scene, with the decorative language I try to express my pursuit and understanding of Mi that deep in my heart. During the process of creation there should have the thinking of “Nature is the source of creation, but it’s the inner feeling that turns beauty of nature to be art beauty”, which tells it should not only copy the nature to get similarity in form, but take the natural object to be depicted as expressing mediation, pay attentionto the mastery of natural objects’ inner romantic charm and make human beings& nature, internal beauty & external beauty be in harmony. Meanwhile, the depictive language is reflected in various aspects of Chinese painting, such as characteristic but well-balanced composition, exaggerated but simplified shape, changeable but rhythmic lines, bright but unified color design as well as flattened and symbolized design processing etc.Through exploration of art language and inks of traditional Chinese painting, in a way of applying traditional Chinese realistic painting of light colors to show a harmonious picture,to some extent creation of Mi inspires me to further think about how to paint. In order to make the object to be depicted have typical,vivid and unique characteristics and form comparatively rich representation and painting language, I try to make breakthrough in aspects of painting composition,pen using and color design etc. so as to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Based on Mi, this article will reflect my exploration of the art language and decoration of meticulous flowers-and-birds painting from four aspects-introduction,creation resources, creation process and creation thinking.
