Berlioz, 19 th century France has the most representative of the romantic composer, conductor and music critic, but also in the history of western music the most controversial musicians. The life and music of Berlioz, existing full and accurate data, he himself also left numerous articles on the "memoir", letters, literature and criticism works, for later analysis. On this basis, the author collate the relevant information and literature, the music, as the main research object.This paper will be divided into five chapters, there are introduction, after the conclusion. The first chapter mainly introduces the life of Berlioz history and social environment of the creation influence. The author will be divided into three aspects:(1) The biography of Berlioz.(2) The influence of social historical and cultural environment on its creation.(3)On the Berlioz "mixed" evaluation. The second chapter embarks from the music ontology, to "Harold in Italy" the creation background and music analysis.
