With the coming wave struck of the big data, we have to face the massive amounts of data everyday. It is more convenient for people to collecting and getting data information because of the development of the technology. Under this circumstance, “big data” starts to enter people’s lives. As the same time, data visualization is becoming more and more popular and playing an important role in people’s lives than ever. It effects people’s life style、economy and the society development and in return it increases the positive reflection.Nowadays, data visualization is becoming a hot subject that the society and the public are interested in. But how to grab this opportunity is design area is a hot topic as well. Faced with the rapid development of data visualization, this paper analyzes this term standing on the design thinking view. First of all, the author gives the evaluation criteria based on the definition of the data visualization and classifies it into two types. One is called pragmatic visualization; the other one is artistic visualization. Then, she deeply analyses the relationship between big data and design. And she explains that the data is a type of art. After that, based on the theory, she uses the theory analysis, using examples to summarize all the exploration methods. And then on that basis, she brings the thought of data-driven design thinking to the public. And she will do the report and analysis that the data driven design thinking may changes the area to the new design aesthetic and the value Last, the author proofs her idea by applying the thinking mode into the practice and analysis the point of view. Finally, through the deeply thinking and analysis of the data visualization, the author realizes the current problems and challenges too. After that she raises the possibility to solve the problems and the expectations in the future.
