The Comparison Of The Chinese And Vietnamese Online Chatting Language

The 21 st century is the era of information. Network has become the most common and important system to transmit information. In the internet era, as a communication tool, network leads to a more convenient life. As the network develops, there is a new language which attracts a lot of peoples’ attention and it plays an important role in the development of social life – online chatting language.There is a long history of cultures and linguistic exchange between Chinese and Vietnamese. They have much in common. In the new era, the Chinese and Vietnamese language development is affected by the social development. With the development of the Internet, network chat has emerged as one of the most common ways of communication between the respective populations of China and Vietnam. Although the Vietnamese is strongly influenced by the Chinese language, differences in the cultures of the two countries result in the Chinese and the Vietnamese chatting languages have many similarities as well as differences. The author, a non-native Chinese,was inquisitive of this topic. So the paper analyzes and studies the online chatting languages used in both Chinese and Vietnamese languages. Therefore, the topic of this thesis is “The comparison of the Chinese and Vietnamese online chatting language”. The objective of the thesis is the online chatting language which isn’t similar to the network language. It is used in the chat room, not the network terms.This paper mainly uses the method of comparison and analysis in the two online chatting languagesto find out their characteristics, types, and word formation.Futhermore, it is also points out the similarities and differences between the two languages.This paper consists of five parts:The first chapter: An Introduction. This chapter describes the object, purpose, significance and methods of the study. It is also a summary of the status of the online chatting langguage.The second chapter: The online chatting language and its causes. This chapter figures out the definition, properties and fomation of the online chatting langguage.The third chapter: The comparison of Chinese and Vietnamese online chatting language. This chapter compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnamese online chatting language in word building and types.The fourth chapter: The influence of the Chinese and Vietnamese Online chatting language. This chapter analyzes the positive and negative influences on the traditional language to the youth, teacher and parents.The fifth chapter: The specification of the online chatting langguage. This chapter points out how to treat the norm of the online chatting langguage and puts forward the solution to the problem of the online chatting langguage.
