Homesickness is a perplexing emotion that haunts every wanderer away from home. Based on the theme of homesickness, the film crew visits an elder from Taiwan Province who lived in Mainland China for 75 years, Chen Qinzhi, and listens to her life stories with one climax after another and her deep longing for her family at home. This documentary interviews this elderly Taiwanese woman and several related personas. In addition, through numerous preciously preserved old photographs and communications, it offers a view over the bits and pieces of her life in Mainland in the context of history, focusing on her genuine emotional experiences and presenting through visualization a complete picture of her voyage through life: leaving her hometown in childhood, starting her own family in youth, searching for her relatives back in Taiwan in middle age, and finally returning home in her later years.
