The opera in China develops late, also with many limitations. Under this circumstance, opera “Wilderness” likes a light in darkness, lightens the hope of Chinese people for opera.From the perspective of the modern development trend, opera segment will be one of the important ways to display art works. The thesis chooses the most intense emotional conflict opera segment “You are mine, I am your” from“Wilderness” to analyze the shape of the character Qiu Hu in this section, which has an important value to perform this opera segment in future.This thesis consists of four parts. The introduction part mainly introduces the significance of the research and current study background. The first chapter introduces the creation background of the opera "wilderness", further analyze the personality, body and sound characteristics of the tragic figure Qiu Hu. The second chapter analyzes of the music characteristics of opera segment “You are mine, I am your”. The third chapter combines with the opera performances and the basic theory of singing to analyze the process of shaping character Qiu Hu in “You are mine, I am your” sentence by sentence.Opera "wilderness" is a typical example in character shaping and music creation, which is a priceless treasure of Chinese opera exploration and accumulation after Chinese reform and opening-up. So, we have no limits to analyze and study the Opera "wilderness". During the process of shaping the role Qiu Hu in this segment, the author keeps on summarizing and analyzing, extends his experience, has a deeper understand of Qiu Hu among the whole opera and also enriches the aesthetic experience. We hope this thesis could be a certain reference for other people acting as character Qiu Hu in “You are mine, I am your”.
