Objective:to study the process of the children with Chinese reading disabilities in terms of the cognitive behaviors and the nerve,and to discuss whether the visual disabilit ies of the children with Chinese reading disabilities have specificity in the level of Chi nese character or not.to improve the studies about cognitive neural disabilities of the c hildren with Chinese reading disabilities,and to provide some references for the diagn osis and intervention of the children with Chinese reading disabilities.Methods:double variant mixed experiment design with the children with Chinese reading disabilities,the normal children and the level of Chinese(real character and fake character),pictures(electronic numbers and electronic images).In the conditions of controlling the quantity of vocabulary,the extent of familiar,the voice of the character and the meaning of the character,the subjects were demanded to judge the consistence of the materials of the experiment.Using the diagnose standard of DSM-IV,11 childre n with Chinese reading disabilities were selected as the subjects in Changsha Bocai B oarding School,and 11 normal children in the same classroom.To analyse the differenc e between the two kinds of the children’s performances in the task of the experiments,and also the difference between the ERP in the process of the experiment.Results:1 、the results of the data in behavioristics showed that the interaction is non-significant a nd the main effect of the material is significant(F=5.469,p=0.030);and the accuracy of the pictures is higher than Chinese material significantly(F=87.666,p=0.000);The mai n effect in groups is significant in both reflecting time and the accuracy.2 、the result of ERP showed that the interaction is significant in P1 of the materials and g roups(F=6.015,p=0.023),and the children with Chinese reading disabilities are increa sed in N170 and VPP(F=4.687,p=0.043;F=8.90,p=0.007).On LPP,the children with C hinese reading disabilities is about frontal area,especially the left frontal area lacks act ivation in Chinese materials.In addition,the children with Chinese reading disabilities’ left brain is more activated than the right brain,while the normal children’s two sides of the brain were the same.In the latent period,the two groups of the children had no significant difference in both early element and late element.Conclusions:1.the two groups of children’s difference in early P1 tells us that the visu al perception of the children with Chinese reading disabilities maybe have the specific ity in Chinese materials.2.the children with Chinese reading disabilities performed the increasement in N170 and VPP,and this tells us the lack of the perception,and it need s more mental resources to deal with the stimulus.The wast of the mental resources(es pecially the Chinese materials) contribute to the disabilities of the LPP Chinese proce ssing.3.In terms of the Chinese materials,the children with Chinese reading disabilitie s’ left brain is more activated than the right brain,while the normal children have no di fference.Some studies showed that the perception of the Chinese tend to the process o f the brain,and it illustrates that the children with Chinese reading disabilities have th e lateralization to the Chinese processing.
